Who We Are
Pro Automotive & Diesel (P.A.D.) is a one-of-a-kind, multi faceted, State of the art, truly full service and high capacity automotive, light truck, and diesel repair facility serving the northwest. We operate at this time with over 25 lifts and growing, and with even more extremely well rounded and diverse technicians. We have master technicians that span from Ford and Dodge diesel, to Mercedes and BMW, and also hybrids. Many of our technicians come from the performance world and apply that knowledge to resolve many of the shortcomings with today’s factory vehicle engineering.
We also have the largest and most advanced suspension and undercarriage operation in the NW and geared up for light trucks with three of the latest 16K Hunter alignment racks and an unmatched team of master technicians trained in advanced vehicle driver-assist technologies, that is essential knowledge when servicing today’s late model vehicle steering systems. Our undercarriage team also offers one of the largest selections of tires, wheels, truck and adventure van lift kits.
P.A.D. is also your one stop shop for accessories and install. We believe the best way to provide consistent and timely service, and to control our quality is to perform as many repair and rebuild operations in-house as possible. That’s where our trademark “We Do Everything” came from. Some unique services we provide are transmissions and transfer case rebuilding in-house by our 30+yr master transmission technician, and differential rebuilding and re-gearing performed by our suspension master technicians.
Our Story
After many years of working as an automotive and diesel technician, Pro Automotive & Diesel began late 2006 in a 40 x 60 garage by the current owner/operator Adam Ofstad. This was just after he completed the fire academy to become a professional Firefighter/Paramedic. Word-of-mouth spread fast about Adam’s diverse repair capabilities, and shortly he installed three lifts, and two more technicians joined to help because Adam could no longer get all the work done in between firefighting shifts by himself anymore. Adam’s vision of today’s P.A.D. was forming everyday and started to realize when he was able to acquire the land in 2013.
After three years of design and raising money, construction started in 2016. Adam, his friends and local helpers performed the ground work, poured the footings and slab, constructed, equipped, and finished the building through 2018. Adam had spent many years building relationships with, and recruiting top specialty technicians from across the metro area to join him with a forever career at the new P.A.D. facility. With the old shop bursting at the seams, Adam and his first new employee came onboard and started performing light truck work on the new alignment racks as soon as they were installed without interior walls in the building yet. The team all arrived in early 2019 and the doors officially opened.
